Plant Manager, St-Eustache

Our vision and values

At Fene-Tech, we manufacture custom products in a demanding industrial environment. Our goal is clear: to make our St-Eustache facility a high-performing, well-organized plant capable of supporting strong growth. With this in mind, we are seeking a high-potential Plant Manager who can take charge of a small facility today and help it grow rapidly.

Job description

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will assume full responsibility for a growing facility. Your mission is simple to state but challenging to achieve: to rapidly scale up the plant by streamlining the organization and improving operational performance.

Responsibilities

  1. Managing Operational Performance
Monitor key performance indicators (safety, quality, costs, lead times)
Improve service levels (OTD) and operational reliability
Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks (TOC / Lean methodology)
  2. Structuring a Growing Website
Implementing simple, robust, and scalable processes
Supporting the ramp-up of the factory
Working closely with group support functions (planning, logistics, etc.)
  3. Manage and develop teams
Supervise field teams and help them grow
Foster a culture of accountability and results
Gradually bring more structure to a growing organization
  4. Maintain a strong on-the-ground presence
    Understand the real day-to-day challenges
    Facilitate problem-solving with the teams
Be a visible leader on the factory floor

What we offer

  • A high-impact role with a high degree of autonomy
  • A website to build and develop
  • A clear opportunity for advancement to the position of Plant Manager
  • A dedicated team and a growing small-to-medium-sized business environment

Profile required

Above all, we’re looking for potential and the right attitude, rather than a perfect resume.

  • Degree in industrial/mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Approximately 3 to 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Practical experience supervising production teams
  • First exposure to continuous improvement (Lean, TOC, etc.)
  • Ability to be highly hands-on, organized, and results-oriented

You are typically:

  • an engineer looking to take the next step
  • a senior supervisor ready to take on a significant scope of responsibility
  • someone who likes to build, not just manage

This position is not for you if:

  • Are you looking for a purely strategic or highly structured role?
  • Do you prefer to work away from the field?
  • You need a highly mature organization in place

We thank all those who apply.
