RénoClimat program
Encourages energy-efficient renovations to improve the energy efficiency of homes.
Eligibility criteria :
-Have an energy assessment carried out before and after the work.
-New windows and doors must be ENERGY STAR and installed in existing openings.
-Not to have started work prior to program registration.
Advantages :
✅ $150 per opening replaced (window or exterior door).
✅ Complementary program to the Canadian Green Housing Initiative, offering additional subsidies.

RénoRégion program
Financial assistance for low-income rural homeowners in need of major repairs.
Eligibility criteria :
- Be the owner-occupant of a residence with a standardized value of less than $150,000.
- Reside in a municipality with a population of less than 15,000.
- Work must correct major deficiencies (roofing, insulation, structure, etc.).
- Doors and windows can be replaced if they present a major problem of airtightness or insulation.
Advantages :
✅ Assistance covering up to 95% of eligible work costs.
✅ Maximum grant of $25,000.
⚠️ The program may be temporarily suspended in some regions - check with your MRC.

Federal program Canadian Green Housing Initiative
Help to improve the energy efficiency of homes with eligible renovations.
Eligibility criteria :
Own a single-family home, semi-detached, row house or condominium (if you're responsible for the openings).
-Perform an EnerGuide energy evaluation before and after the work.
-Install ENERGY STAR ENERGY STAR.
Benefits:
✅ Up to $5,600 (including $600 for assessment) for energy-efficient renovations.
✅ Possible access to an interest-free loan of up to $40,000 to finance your work.
Important: the traditional grant component is closed to new applications, replaced in 2025 by the CGHAP program targeting low/middle-income households.

Programme Rénovation Québec (Municipal)
Assistance for the renovation of buildings located in certain participating municipalities.
Eligibility criteria :
The building must be located in a zone targeted by the municipality.
The work must improve the quality or safety of the home.
Some municipalities allow the replacement of doors and windows (if included in the local renovation plan).
Benefits:
✅ Financial assistance varies by city, typically a 50% to 66% subsidy, with a typical cap of $4,000 to $15,000 per unit.
