Job description

Provide technical support to plants to improve the operational efficiency of production sites. Manage capital expenditures (CAPEX) and optimize the existing machinery fleet. Work with teams to review layouts and work methods as part of a Lean Manufacturing initiative.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) or major repair projects (OPEX).
  • Defining requirements and drafting the specifications.
  • Request for proposals and bid evaluation.
  • Preparation, installation, and commissioning of equipment.
  • Optimization to achieve the required performance.
  • Transfer to production (maintenance plan, documentation, training).

Equipment Optimization

  • Optimize the performance of existing equipment to increase productivity and quality.
  • Understand, analyze, standardize, and adjust machine settings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for equipment suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards.

Maintenance Support

  • Assist the maintenance team in the event of a major breakdown.
  • Help prepare for and carry out planned shutdowns.

Method Development – Lean Manufacturing

  • Help implement preventive maintenance and top-level maintenance.
  • Improve processes, workflows, and layouts to increase efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of information management tools.
  • Assist the plant manager in implementing Lean tools and practices
  • Manufacturing.

Conditions

  • Daytime schedule, Friday ends at 12 p.m.

Requirements

  • Training
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering (OIQ membership not required).
  • Experience
  • Significant experience in project management, particularly in CAPEX, automated production lines, or
  • layout changes.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (at least 3 years).
  • Proven ability to understand and solve technical problems.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing (knowledge of tools, ability to lead workgroups).
  • Skills and Qualities
  • Practical, approachable, and solution-oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and data processing skills.
  • Diligence, independence, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and have a positive influence.
  • Software
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or other data analysis tools.
