Job description

Under the authority of the Manufacturing Operations Manager, the Electromechanical Technician's main duties are
ing preventive and regular mechanical maintenance of factory equipment and buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing and maintenance
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and buildings.
  • Develop and update the annual maintenance plan for machinery, equipment, and buildings, including the
    keeping of records in the CMMS.
  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
  • Respond quickly to requests for urgent fixes and intervene on machines that have stopped production
    .
    Optimization and continuous improvement

  • Analyze equipment performance and make the necessary adjustments to optimize its efficiency, in collaboration with the production team.
  • Implement measures to minimize production stoppages and ensure the continuity of operations
    .
  • Prepare and carry out scheduled stops for general maintenance.
    Communication and coordination
  • Communicate with equipment manufacturers to optimize installation, repairs, and machine us
    .
  • Welcome, assist, and supervise maintenance subcontractors during their work.
  • Provide effective technical support to users and participate in their training as needed.
    Health, safety, and compliance
  • Enforce and comply with safety procedures (fire permits, lockout procedures, etc.) and ensure
    that equipment remains safe at all times.

Qualifications

  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in industrial electromechanics, a relevant vocational diploma (DEP), or
  • the equivalent.
  • Have 2 to 5 years of experience in production equipment maintenance.
  • Have knowledge of welding different types of metals.
  • Be familiar with preventive maintenance programs.
  • Mastering the use of equipment, tools, and instruments necessary for industrial maintenance.
  • Demonstrate initiative, rigor, thoroughness, and good judgment in resolving problem-
    .
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent learning ability and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Good autonomy: able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Diligence, punctuality, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Comfortable with a computerized environment and able to learn new software easily.

Strengths

  • Knowledge of electricity or automation.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS).
