Job description

Fene-Tech is looking for a programmer-analyst to support its manufacturing operations by designing, developing, and optimizing application solutions tailored to the company’s needs. The person in this role plays a key part in improving business processes and leveraging data. 

Responsibilities

Analysis and Design 

  • Work with users to understand business needs and operational challenges.
  • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Design application solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Produce and maintain clear documentation of systems, processes, data flows, and procedures.
  • Participate in the evaluation of new technologies and recommend value-added solutions.

Development and Integration 

  • Develop and maintain internal business applications, web solutions, automation tools, and analytics platforms (Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform).
  • Automate processes using tools (Power Automate, scripts, etc.) 
  • Integrate systems (ERP, Microsoft 365 tools, databases, and BI) 

Data and Business Intelligence 

  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support operations and decision-making.
  • Analyze business needs and transform data from multiple sources (ERP, production, inventory, quality, Microsoft 365, etc.) into actionable insights
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and integration processes to ensure the performance and reliability of analytical solutions.
  • Ensure the quality, integrity, governance, and availability of organizational data.
  • Help develop modern analytical solutions using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and business intelligence technologies from the Microsoft ecosystem.

Support and Continuous Improvement 

  • Provide advanced technical support for the solutions developed and the tools under his or her responsibility.
  • Help analyze and resolve complex incidents.
  • Support users as they adopt new solutions.
  • Train and support key users.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary projects. 

Conditions

  • Department: Information Technology;
  • Immediate supervisor: IT Manager;
  • Permanent position, 40 hours per week;
  • The position is based in Amqui. Occasional travel is required;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent education 
  • 3 years or more of relevant experience 
  • Excellent proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies (Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Power BI, VBScript, or equivalent technologies).
  • A strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate requirements into concrete solutions
  • Knowledge of an ERP system (a plus)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills 

Strengths

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with the VizCo Ecosystem 
  • Knowledge of production, planning, and inventory management processes 
  • Experience in automation and process optimization 
  • Knowledge of business intelligence (BI) and data analysis concepts.
  • Experience with APIs, system integrations, and web services.
